Douglass Township Tax Collector
The Tax Collector is an elected official of the Township. It is the responsibility of the tax collector to collect all Berks County, Douglass Township, and the Boyertown Area School District taxes in Douglass Township.
Mary Kay Heimbach is the Tax Collector for Douglass Township. If you need to reach her for any questions or concerns you can call 610-367-6693 and leave a message, or email her at Heim82@aol.com, or if you prefer any mailings can be sent to her at: 82 Winding Rd., Boyertown, PA 19512. Office hours are listed on your tax bills if you are paying in person. A lock box is installed at her office door, so your payment can be dropped off at any time – DO NOT PUT PAYMENTS IN THE MAILBOX AT THE DRIVEWAY. If needed, an appointment can be made. Payment for Douglass Township/Berks County Real Estate Taxes, Boyertown Area School District Real Estate Taxes, and Boyertown Area School District Per Capita Taxes can be paid by cash, check, or money order – CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME. Checks should be made payable to: Mary Kay Heimbach, Tax Collector. One check can be issued when paying real estate and per capita taxes at the same time. Include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your payment if a receipt is needed. Postmark dates are accepted for payment. That being said – April 1, 2025, the US Postal Service implemented Regional Transportation Optimization which has resulted in 1–2-day delay from the time you drop mail in the blue box, your mailbox, or in the mail slot at the post office. That means just because you might drop your mail in any of the listed receptacles on the last due date, it might not get postmarked with that date – it could be several days later. Unless you are going to take your mail to the counter of the US Post Office and have them hand stamp your mail you have no way of knowing what postmark date is on your payment. NO PERSONAL CHECKS ARE ACCEPTED BETWEEN DECEMBER 15TH – DECEMBER 31ST.
