The Following Resolution was adopted by the Board of Supervisors on December 2, 2008
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF DOUGLASS TOWNSHIP AMENDING A POLICH CONCERNING THE INSPECTION AND COPYING OF RECORDS BY THE TOWNSHIP
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors adopted a Policy for Right-to-Know Law Requests on June 1, 2004, establishing the procedure by which Douglass Township ("Township") would address requests made to it for records under the December 26, 2002 amendments to the Pennsylvania right-to-Know Law; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors hereby adopts this Resolution and Right-to-Know policy in order to fully comply with the amended Right-to-Know Act of February 14, 2008, (the "Act"); and
WHEREAS, this Resolution is adopted in order to assure availability of records to all residents of the United States and agencies under the Act at reasonable times and to provide for reimbursement of all costs incurred in extracting, reproducing and/or mailing such records.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Supervisors of Douglass Townshp this 2nd day of December 2008 hereby repeals the June 1, 2004 Resolution adopting the Policy for Right-to-Know Law Requests and resolves that the attached Douglass Townshp Policy for Right-to-Know Law Requests is hereby adopted and shall become effective January 1, 2009.BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF DOUGLASS TOWNSHIP
